Magic Chocolate Chip Cookies

yummo

This is my favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe.  The combination of oatmeal, peanut butter and chocolate chips makes the Ultimate chocolate chip combination for taste and texture!

The recipe makes 90 cookies so it is great for crowds and freezing.  (They are great treats straight out of the freezer too for those times when you just need something!)  I put them in freezer bags with 18 cookies each.  Perfect for those unexpected moments when you wish you had a plate of cookies for guests.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  • 2 Cups Butter
  • 2 Cups Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 2 Cups Sugar
  • 2 Cups Brown Sugar – Packed
  • 1 Tablespoon Vanilla Extract
  • 4 Eggs
  • 5 Cups Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Soda
  • 2 Cups Quick Cooking Oats – Raw
  • 12 Oz Semisweet Chocolate Chips

Beat butter, peanut butter, sugars and vanilla in large mixer bowl until creamy.  Beat in Eggs.  Beat in Flour and Baking Soda.  I use my KitchenAid Cover just to keep the flour from going all over.  If you don’t have one – start slow or add flour little at a time.  Stir in Oatmeal and Chocolate Chips.  Use a cookie scoop or roll into 1 inch balls. I also use parchment paper for even cooking and ease of cleanup.  Ready for the oven!  Bake 350 for 10 – 15 minutes until lightly browned.  Let stand for 3 minutes and remove to wire racks to cool.

ENJOY!
